Azerbaijan produced 386 trucks in January-September 2016, which is 54.4 percent more than in the same period of 2015, said a State Statistics Committee report.
According to the report, Azerbaijan manufactured 709 tractors in January-September 2016, or 6 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
During the period, the country manufactured 141 cars, which is 74.9 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
Production of municipal special-purpose vehicles increased by 2.3 times as compared to January-September 2015 and stood at 1,157 vehicles.
Azerbaijan manufactured 143 trailers and semi-trailers for cargo transportation in January-September 2016, or 21.4 percent less than in the same period of 2015.
Two vehicle manufacturing plants operate in Azerbaijan, one in Nakhchivan and another in Ganja.
