Kazakhstan’s gold, currency reserves up

Kazakhstan’s gold and currency reserves, including reserves of the National Bank and the National Fund’s assets, increased by 0.4 percent to $95.8 billion in July 2016

Kazakhstan’s gold and currency reserves, including reserves of the National Bank and the National Fund’s assets, increased by 0.4 percent to $95.8 billion in July 2016, according to Kazakh National Bank’s data. In early 2016 Kazakhstan’s gold and currency reserves amounted to $91.38 billion.

The National Fund’s assets reached $64.4 billion, gross international reserves of the National Bank hit $30.8 billion as of the end of Sept. 2016.
In September, international reserves of the National Bank increased by $0.9 billion, assets in currency rose by $0.6 billion, assets in gold increased by $0.3 billion.
The monetary base increased by 2.7 percent to 4.65 trillion tenge (331.4 tenge = $1).
