101 state properties to be auctioned in Azerbaijan Nov. 1

An auction for privatization of state-owned properties in Azerbaijan will be held Nov. 1, Azerbaijani State Committee on Property Issues said Oct. 31.
The auction will see 101 state properties and facilities put up for sale, including 23 joint-stock companies, 62 small enterprises and properties, as well as 16 vehicles.
Joint-stock companies include enterprises operating in wood processing, poultry farming, chemical industry, bread production, as well as transportation and construction industry.
The largest open joint-stock company to be put up for auction is a cotton processing enterprise in Yevlakh district with authorized capital of 2.4 million manats.
A 20-percent stake of this enterprise, costing 239,000 manats, will be put up for the auction.
Official rate is 1.6381 AZN/USD as of Oct. 31.
