By Rufiz Hafizoglu – Trend:

More than 60 billion liras was invested in the improvement of Turkey’s rail infrastructure in the last 15 years, the country’s Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications told Trend.

A part of this investment was channeled at upgrading railways.

The ministry did not rule out the possibility of increasing the volume of investments in the Turkish transport sector in 2018.

These activities are carried out as part of the government plan titled 2023 Vision.

“In cities with population of more than 100,000 people, the transport management system will be fully converted into an electronic format,” the ministry said earlier.
