During the first nine months of 2017, 1.224 million cars were produced in Turkey, which is 31 percent more than in the same period of 2016, the country’s Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) said in a message Oct. 18.
According to the message, 88,952 cars were produced in Turkey in September 2017, which is 13 percent more than in September 2016.
Turkey ranks sixth in Europe in car production.
