First Vice-Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Kairat Aytuganov has revealed which agricultural products are in demand in Europe.
"It is necessary to note the growth in exports of agro-industrial products to European countries. Particulraly the export of agroproducts to Belgium increased by 1.2 times, Germany - 1.5 times, Italy - 2.1 times, Latvia - 1 , 7 times, to the Netherlands - 1.5 times, to the Czech Republic - 2.8 times, "Aytuganov said at a government meeting NOv.21.
He said that exports of oilseeds, wheat, and dried vegetables increased to European countries .
He added that the agricultural exports to Turkey increased almost twofold compared to the same period last year, from $ 29 million to $ 57 million.
In general, during the 9 months of 2017, exports of agricultural products and products of its processing amounted to $1.5 billion, which is 13 percent more than in the same period 2017.
In particular, the vice minister said, exports of frozen beef doubled. "This growth is due to an increase in supplies to Russia by 83 percent, and also due to the first exports to the United Arab Emirates," Aytuganov explained.
Furthermore, lamb exports increased eight-fold. "Including through the opening of new markets - Iran, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates this year," he aded.
He added that Russia remains one of the main sales markets for processed products of Kazakhstan production. "In order to strengthen the work in the direction of the Russian market this year, more than 50 events were held to promote Kazakhstan's products and contracts worth $ 100 million were signed," the vice minister said.
