The total value of the investment promotion documents issued for the agro-parks being created in Azerbaijan exceeds 350 million manats, Azerbaijani Deputy Economy Minister Niyazi Safarov said at an event in Baku on Dec. 6.
The investment promotion documents are issued for seven years and they free entrepreneurs from taxes on land and property, and also allow to pay during this period only half of the income and revenue taxes.
Safarov said the development of agro-parks is one of the main priorities of Azerbaijan.
We are already working to establish 42 agro-parks in 28 districts of the country, and the first stage of work on agro-parks is being completed in the Khachmaz, Shamkir and Jalilabad districts of Azerbaijan," Safarov said.
The deputy minister added that more than 98 million manats in soft loans were allocated by the National Entrepreneurship Support Fund to create 13 agro-parks.
