Local entrepreneurs increase milk production in North Kazakhstan

A dairy farm was launched by a local entrepreneur in North Kazakhstan.

The complex includes some 600 cows. The farm will produce more than 2,000 tons of milk per year, Kazakh media outlets reported.

The project’s cost is 1.3 billion tenge. The businessmen of the region also plan to construct a dairy plant.

In January-October 2017, industrial enterprises of North Kazakhstan produced products worth 180 million tenge, which is 5.2 percent higher than in the same period of the previous year.

The processing industry, which occupies the largest share in the structure of industrial production (70.4 percent) of the region produced goods worth 126 million tenge in 9 months of 2017, which is 5 percent higher than in January-October 2016.

The production of food products in North Kazakhstan amounted to 76.5 million tenge during the mentioned period. Production of meat products increased by 11.4 percent, processed milk - by 30.5 percent, butter - by 20.6 percent, flour by 3.5 percent, cheese - by 21.4 percent and confectionery products - by 13.6 percent.
