Russian company acquires concrete plant in Kazakhstan

The Investment Fund of Kazakhstan has completed a transaction to sell a cellular concrete plant in Aktobe Region, Kazakhstan.

"In December, the Fund signed a contract to sell the plant. With the support of the executive body of the Aktobe Region, the Fund attracted Russian investor TD Foton LLP," the press service of the National Fund of Kazakhstan said in a message.

The value of the contract is 1.5 billion tenge.

The investor will carry out reconstruction of the plant with further launch of cellular concrete production. The plant's reconstruction is now 98 percent complete and it currently remains in conservation stage.

The plant will produce U-shaped blocks for lintels, reinforced concrete products and ready-mixed concrete using German equipment. The main markets for the plant’s products are Kazakhstan and Russia.
