Baku, Azerbaijan, Jan. 10

By Ali Mustafayev - Trend:

Kazakhstan and Iran signed a memorandum on facilitation of group tourist trips between the two countries, a source in the Kazakh Foreign Ministry told Trend Jan. 10.

The memorandum was signed by the Ministry of Investments and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Tourism of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Dec. 22, 2017.

Previously, Director of the Visit Almaty Center Assel Nurkebaeva said that after the removal of international sanctions, many sectors in Iran became open for Kazakhstan, including tourism, but the lack of a visa-free regime and the lack of knowledge about Kazakhstan among the Iranian tourists is an obstacle to development of tourism between the countries.

The memorandum signed between the countries won't be the last, and in near future the countries may expect much more favorable arrangements in the field of tourism.
