Uzbek insurance company reveals volume of premiums

Uzagrosugurta JSC, one of Uzbekistan’s major insurers, decreased collection of premiums by 7.1 percent to 133.2 billion soums in 2017, as compared to 2016, the company’s management told Trend Jan. 23.

In particular, the volume of insurance premiums on voluntary types of insurance decreased during the reporting period by 4.3 percent to 79.8 billion soums, and the volume of insurance premiums on mandatory types of insurance decreased by 11.2 percent to 53.4 billion soums.

The volume of insurance premiums’ payments of Uzagrosugurta JSC increased last year by 3.1 times compared to 2016 and reached 91.4 billion soums. The total volume of insurance liabilities grew by 1.2 percent to 41 trillion soums.

Uzagrosugurta was created in 1997.

The company’s authorized capital totals 26.8 billion soums.
