Roughly 2,449 Azerbaijani citizens worked in Turkey according to the results of 2017, the Turkish Ministry of Labor and Social Security said in a message.
During the reported period, 87,000 foreigners worked in Turkey, and the first place is occupied by the citizens of Syria, reads the report.
"In 2017, 21,000 Syrian citizens were granted work permits in Turkey," the report reads.
According to the ministry, the number of Georgian citizens working in Turkey was 7,317 people in 2017.
"In 2017, 6,360 Kyrgyz citizens, 5,761 citizens of Ukraine and 2,390 citizens of Russia were granted work permits in Turkey," the report of reads.
Last year, 47,772 foreigners, who are citizens of other countries worked in Turkey.
