Products worth 64.9 million manats were produced by metallurgical companies in Azerbaijan in January 2018, reads a report of the country’s State Statistics Committee.
The report says the volume of output of metallurgical industry decreased by 3.8 percent while the production of finished goods grew by 1.8 times in January 2018.
Azerbaijan produced 22,600 tons of fittings in January 2018, which is 5.5 percent less than in January 2017.
In January 2018, 5.5 tons of steel pipes were produced in Azerbaijan, that is by 40 percent less than in January 2017.
The volume of steel casting production stood at 30,900 tons in January 2018, which is 19.4 percent less than in January 2017.
Azerbaijan exported 57,483.9 tons of ferrous metal pipes worth $39,180 million in 2017, which is by 2.2 percent more (by 9.8 percent less in money terms) than in 2016.
In 2017, Azerbaijan exported 76,575.5 tons of ferrous semi-finished products worth $23.613 million, which is by 49.7 percent (by 31.4 percent in money terms) less than in 2016.
