A delegation of Korean companies have visited the Angren Free Economic Zone of Uzbekistan to study business opportunities here.
Representatives of Korean companies Kolon, Posco Daewoo, Shindong Enercom, Woolim Tech Co. Ltd, Hancop Group, Heerim Architects & Planners Co., Ltd, Erae AMS Co., Ltd., Samsung Engineering, GS Construction, Arvid Co.Ltd., Evergreen Motors, Lotte Logistics, Dalim PharmaTech, Enze Trade, Leebuild Trade, Hyundai Engineering Co., Ltd., Hyundai Engineering & Construction, HS International Inc. and Yuhan Corporation visited the Angren FEZ and studied the possibilities and prospects of the project.
They also considered establishing cooperation with relevant organizations, and got acquainted with the existing industrial infrastructure of the Angren FEZ and the availability of the region's raw materials base.
Furthermore, the guests visited a number of enterprises on the territory of the Angren FEZ, and got acquainted with the production activities of such enterprises as JV "National Ceramics" (production of ceramic tiles and glazed porcelain stoneware), LLC "Directorate for the construction of a rubber goods factory" (production of automobile tires and conveyor belts) and JV LLC "Uz-Shindong Silicon" (production of ferrosilicon).
A special tax regime is applied on the territory of FEZ Angren and there are customs privileges for imported equipment, components and materials not produced in Uzbekistan.
