Six new football stadiums will be built in Turkish cities , including Ankara, Elazig, Erzincan, Hakkari, Sirnak and Edirne and 820 million Turkish liras ($217 million) will be spent for this purpose, the Youth and Sports Ministry of Turkey said in a message on Feb. 26.
The construction of 14 stadiums are underway in the cities of Afyonkarahisar, Antalya, Eskisehir, Gaziantep, Kocaeli, Malatya, Mersin, Sakarya, Samsun, Sivas, Trabzon, Bursa, Konya and Manisa, according to the message.
