Turkey increases exports, imports

In February 2018, the total value of Turkish exports amounted to $13.1 billion, which is 9.02 percent more than in February 2017, the Ministry of Customs and Trade of Turkey said in a message March 2.

In February 2018, imports to Turkey reached $18.9 billion, which is 19.64 percent more than in February last year.

In February 2018, Turkey exported vehicles worth $2.3 billion, which is a record figure for the last four months.

During the reporting period, Turkey imported mineral oils worth $3.3 billion, which is a record figure for the last four months.

“Germany ranks first among the countries of Europe where Turkey delivers goods,” the message said. “For the reporting period, goods worth $1.36 billion were exported to Germany, goods worth $865 million were exported to Italy, and goods worth $840 million were exported to the UK.”

In February 2018, Turkey imported goods worth $1.86 billion from China, goods worth $1.8 billion from Russia, and goods worth $1.6 billion from Germany.
