It is necessary to introduce compulsory insurance of professional liability of medical workers in Azerbaijan, Anar Bayramov, board chairman of the A-Group insurance company, told Trend.
He said that this will help to ensure a guaranteed payment of compensation to all victims of medical mistakes.
“We think that it is necessary to make the medical liability insurance compulsory in Azerbaijan. Currently, our company works with 50 clinics in this direction, but we are also ready to provide this product to other clinics,” Bayramov noted.
Meanwhile, there are clinics, where insurance is extended to all patients, regardless of whether they have insurance from A-Group or not.
A-Group insurance company was established in 1995.
