Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan plan to sign several export contracts worth $5.2 million, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan said on March 28.
According to the Export Support Fund under the National Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Uzbekistan, contracts will be signed within the framework of a business forum in Ashgabat with participation of business circles of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and more than 100 entrepreneurs from all regions of the republic will participate in the National Industrial Exhibition of Made in Uzbekistan branded export-oriented products, which will be held on March 29-31, 2018 in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat.
The exhibition is aimed at promoting Uzbek industrial companies and investment achievements in the Turkmen market, presenting various investment projects to sign contracts with Turkmen and other foreign companies, familiarizing Turkmen business circles and entrepreneurs with scientific and production potential, as well as with cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan will present production of local entrepreneurs from all regions of the republic, including textile (readily-made clothes), food, leather products etc.
A cultural program with performance of the stars of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan is also planned to be held within the framework of the exhibition.
