Cargolux Airlines International S.A., a Luxembourgish cargo airline, intends to further cooperate with Azerbaijan, Moa Sigurdardottir, head of Corporate Communications at the company, told Trend June 1.

"Cargolux has been present in Azerbaijan for 17 years and has built strong and trustworthy relationships with local partners over the years," she said. "There has been growing interest in the Azerbaijani market over time and Cargolux is looking forward to strengthening ties and developing commercial exchanges in the country. Our business and connections have so far been positive and we look positively towards future cooperation."

"Despite the economic crisis that followed the boom period of the early 2000s, the air cargo market has remained stable in the country," Sigurdardottir noted. "The current positive outlook of the air freight industry could bring positive developments to the sector and Cargolux is confident that the Azerbaijani market will continue to provide favorable operational conditions."

Cargolux Airlines International S.A. is a Luxembourgish cargo airline with its head office and home base at Luxembourg Airport in Sandweiler, Luxembourg. It is one of the largest scheduled all-cargo airlines in Europe with a global network. Charter flights and third party maintenance are also operated.
