Kazakhstan interested in business partnership with Turkmenistan

Business circles of Kazakhstan expressed their readiness to establish mutually beneficial contacts with Turkmen entrepreneurs, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) said in a statement June 14.
A delegation of Kazakhstan which included the directors and leading employees of 29 large companies and business structures arrived in Ashgabat.
The activities of Turkmen entrepreneurs in various fields, as well as their major state projects and the development of international contacts were discussed at the meeting.
Among the recent achievements of the UIET, there was participation in the implementation of projects for the development of natural resources of the country, and the development of transport infrastructure, the message said.
The export orientation of the majority of private businesses, including the enterprises in the agricultural sector, was emphasized. Kazakh businessmen spoke about the export capabilities of their companies, related to thermal insulation materials, various types of electrical and telecommunication equipment, accumulator batteries, fertilizers, furniture and paints and varnishes.
The proposals were raised for cooperation in the automotive industry and the food sector, in particular in the processing and sale of agricultural products - wheat flour, pasta and confectionery, in the pharmaceutical sector and the production of medical supplies.
Ashgabat and Astana are also discussing cooperation in the gas sector, the development of cross-border mineral deposits, and in the fields of transport, environment and fisheries.
