The well-known British creative agency M&C Saatchi proposed creating a new brand for Tashkent, Uzbek media reported.

Corresponding negotiations between representatives of M&C Saatchi and the Tashkent administration were held in the capital of Uzbekistan.

"During the meeting, M&C Saatchi presented its plan with proposals for creating a brand of the country, as well as Tashkent with one general concept, followed by a whole strategy. M&C Saatchi offers an 'umbrella' brand that can be used by the State Committee for Tourism, State Committee for Investments, Development Strategy Center, the media, the government and the private sector,” the press service of the Tashkent city administration said.

The representatives of the British company noted that the main goal of an advertising campaign of a country or a city is a very simple presentation of information, because the simpler the idea, the easier it is to convey it. DUBAI and INVEST IN GREAT projects can be used as examples.

The INVEST IN GREAT initiative was successfully launched before the 2012 Olympic Games in the UK and will be sponsored by the state until 2025. The DUBAI project re-branded the country and this allowed increasing the tourist flow twice.

M&C Saatchi is a communication agency with many years of experience in creating national brands. The company has worked with countries such as Georgia, Great Britain, New Zealand and Bahrain.

The M&C Saatchi network was created by the brothers Morris and Charles Saatchi in 1995. This is their second business in the advertising industry. In 1970, the brothers opened the Saatchi & Saatchi agency, which grew into a global network and in 2000 was acquired by the Publicis holding.
