During September 10 – 21, 2018, the runway of Astana airport will be closed in the daytime, the message posted on the airport's website says.
The repair work will be carried out from 09:00 to 13:00 (GMT + 5). As a result, all flights departing and arriving at the airport before lunch will be moved to another time.
The information on changing the time of flights can be found at the airport information desk, by phone number +7 (7172) 702 999, which operates around the clock.
In addition, only the runway will be closed during this period, the airport terminals will operate normally.
Astana international airport is one of the largest airports in Kazakhstan, it takes the second place in the country in terms of volume of domestic air transportation. It is controlled by the structural unit of JSC “NC “KTZ”” entitled as "Airport Management Group".
Up to 40 flights to the regions of near and far abroad are carried out at the airport every day. The maximum acceptance rate of the terminal is 750 people per hour. The throughput functionality of the terminal is about 600 tons of cargo per day.
