A cable way will be established in the Turkish province of Kocaeli, the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the country told Trend Sept. 25.
It is expected that the total length of the cable car will be 4.9 kilometers, the ministry noted.
"In order to build the cable way, a tender will be announced in the next month, and the winner will be entitled to manage the cable way for 29 years," the ministry stated.
The ministry also noted that the total cost of the project amounted to 71 million Turkish liras.
The longest cable way in Turkey is situated in the province of Antalya, its length is 4.3 kilometers.
The first cable way in Turkey was built in 1963 in the province of Bursa.
The official exchange rate on September 25 is 6,2399 TL/USD.
