Abbas Abdolkhani, Iran’s commercial attaché to Oman, said the Persian Gulf Arab country could serve as a good platform for the export of Iranian pharmaceutical products.

“Pharmaceutical products and medical equipment worth $1 billion are being shipped into Oman annually,” Abdolkhani said on the sidelines of the Oman Health Exhibition and Conference 2018, IRIB news agency reported on September 26.

Referring to Iranian firms’ capabilities to produce medicine and medical equipment, he said the companies should seize the opportunity as Oman could be a proper springboard for exports of such goods to other countries.

The official further termed east Africa as a good market that has great potential for exportation and health tourism.

Iran has set up a pavilion at the exhibition, displaying its latest equipment.

The Oman Health Conference serves as a platform for industry experts and stakeholders to share and discuss tangible solutions to the variety of healthcare issues and encourage collaborative efforts for the development, improvement and growth of the international healthcare industry.

The event will also provide participants with an excellent opportunity to network with government, regulatory authorities, colleagues, and learn up-to-date information, emerging trends, strategies, innovative approaches, management techniques and technologies that would help them enhance the quality of healthcare services around the world.
