A meeting with representatives of Austrian business circles specializing in various industries was held at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET), the UIET said in a message.
The sides discussed establishing business contacts between the Turkmen Joint-Stock Commercial Bank “Rysgal” and Raiffeisen Bank International AG, a leading corporate and investment bank in Austria and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the message said.
Opportunities for the implementation of joint projects in various fields were discussed between the representatives of private companies. The promising areas included agro-industry, high-tech, processing of natural resources.
Regional Manager for CIS countries of the Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce Michael Angerer and managing director, Head of Financial Institutions and Sovereigns East at Raiffeisen Bank Pavel Zarutskiy took part in the talks.
Michael Angerer drew attention to the importance of the work carried out by Turkmenistan to diversify exports, the message said.
Representative office of the UIET has been operating in Vienna since June 2017.
