Uzbekistan's agricultural industry shows slight growth

In January-September 2018, the total volume of products and services of agriculture, forestry and fisheries in Uzbekistan increased by 1.3 percent and amounted to 59,327.1 billion soums, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said in a report.
Volume of products and services in plant growing and animal husbandry amounted to 58,998.1 billion soums (1.3 percent), forestry - 100.5 billion soums (3.6 percent), and fisheries - 238.5 billion soums (30.1 percent).
Personal subsidiary farms account for 70.9 percent of the total volume of agricultural production, farms – on 26.9 percent, organizations engaged in agricultural activities – 2.2 percent.
The volume of crop production amounted to 33,340.1 billion soums, or 97.5 percent of the corresponding period of 2017. The share of crop products in the total volume of agricultural production amounted to 57.3 percent.
The volume of livestock production amounted to 24,840.6 billion soums, or 107.0 percent of the corresponding period of 2017. The share of livestock products in the total volume of agricultural production was 42.7 percent.
