The details of establishing a financial network of Europe with Iran have been discussed in Brussels, Abdolnaser Hemmati, Governor of Central Bank of Iran, wrote in an Instagram post, Mehr news agency reported.
Exporters can receive payments in foreign currency for their products, he added.
He noted that the purpose of establishing a financial network is to enable the Iranian and European companies and economic activists to continue their trade relations despite the unilateral withdrawal of the United States from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
He wrote that the issue of establishing a European financial network has been reviewed by Iran and Europe in order to eliminate the problems associated with implementation of payments. The mentioned network will create conditions enabling the Iranian and European exporters to receive the foreign currency obtained from exports.
This network will perform the function of a bilateral currency agreement between Iran and European Union. Both parties emphasize the necessity of initiation of this process as soon as possible.
