Almost 23 million tons of grain threshed in Kazakhstan

As many as 22.78 million tons of grain were threshed in Kazakhstan as of November 6, Kazakh media reported with reference to the country's Agriculture Ministry.

Agricultural producers of Kazakhstan harvested 15.06 million hectares, that is, the entire harvesting area of the regions. The average yield is 15.1 centners per hectare.

As of the same date last year, 15.36 million hectares were harvested and 22.27 million tons of grain were threshed. The average yield was 14.5 centners per hectare.

It is worth noting that this year the harvesting area in Kazakhstan totaled 15.06 million hectares, and in 2017 it was 15.37 million hectares. During the sowing campaign this year, the area of 15.12 million hectares was sown, and last year - 15.41 million hectares.
