Iran has succeeded in producing cloud seeding bullets to improve the water shortage and its drought problems.
Cloud seeding, the most common way to modify weather, involves shooting silver iodide or other chemicals into clouds to encourage precipitation. In other words, a silver bullet can make it rain.
The cloud seeding bullets contain liquid carbon dioxide or filled with salt and minerals.
"Iran has reached good results in cloud seeding during recent years due to research and technologies, it used to import the cloud seeding bullets from foreign countries but now its prepared to produce the bullets domestically," Energy Minister Reza Ardekani said, Trend reports via Tasnim.
The Aerospace Force of the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution has recently announced the cooperation agreement with the Energy Ministry regarding cloud seeding, and help the ministry in non-military sectors.
"The Energy Ministry has some plans to use the unconventional water resources that would be effective," Ardekani added.
