This Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018) 820 tons of medicinal herbs have been collected from a 1,300-hectare-area in Iran’s Yazd province, head of the department of the Agriculture Organization of Yazd province Yadulla Javadpour said.

Thus, 650 tons of medicinal herbs were collected from a 950-hectare-area last Iranian year and 28 kinds of medicinal herbs are planted in the province, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

The Agriculture Organization provides farmers with loans worth 200-500 million rials (about $4,761-11,904) in Yazd province, he said.

After processing and packaging, most of these medicinal herbs are exported to other provinces and foreign countries, Javadpour said.
