Iran to install 3,000 solar panels in deprived areas

Using the potential of Basij (Mobilization Resistance Force), 3,000 units of 5 kilowatt solar panels will be installed in 200 deprived areas of Iran, Commander of the Basij Center under the Energy Ministry of Iran Dawood Taremi said, Trend reports via ISNA.

He noted that special attention is paid to the need to increase electricity generation from renewable sources with participation of the private sector and the need for investments in employment in deprived areas.

Installation of the solar panels will be carried out with the participation of the Energy Ministry, Basij, banks and others, Taremi said.

He added that the population of the rural areas will be able to work at the newly established plants and thus will have stable source of income.
