More than $18 million worth of raw animal products have been exported from Isfahan Province of Iran since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2018), said Shahram Movahedi, Head of Veterinary Directorate of Isfahan Province, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
According to Movahedi, raw animal products are exported from Isfahan Province to 21 countries.
"Currently, cow innards and rumen are exported and converted into dollars. However, we previously faced many environmental issues due to our attempts at getting rid of these products," he said.
Movahedi added that even though the efforts to export the said products started seven years ago, only in the past three years was it possible to see an increase in the exports.
