St. Petersburg Tractor Plant plans to launch production of Kirovets energy-saving tractors at the facilities of JSC AgromashHolding KZ in the Kazakh city of Kostanay, Trend reports referring to the Kazakh media.
During a meeting in Astana, First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and Director of Petersburg Tractor Plant JSC Sergey Serebryakov discussed issues of cooperation.
Serebryakov expressed interest in cooperation on organizing not only tractor production, but also the production of cardan shafts and wheel disks at the facilities of AgromashHolding KZ.
Earlier, the director of St. Petersburg Tractor Plant familiarized himself with the potential of production sites of AgromashHolding KZ, which is the leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery in Kazakhstan, as well as of the national automaker SaryarkaAvtoProm and the Industrial zone in Kostanay.
It is worth noting that the products of St. Petersburg Tractor Plant are popular in Kazakhstan. In 2014-2017, about 500 Kirovets tractors were sold in the country; however the annual demand is about 1,600 tractors, according to the Agriculture Ministry.
