The Azerbaijani company ISMA Bikes produced 5,000 bicycles in 2018, director general of the company Elchin Gahramanov told Trend.
He noted 4,000 of them were sold.
Gahramanov said that some models were more in high demand, some less.
"Each region has its own needs. High-speed bicycles are mostly in demand in Baku," he said.
Gahramanov noted that negotiations are underway and work has begun to export Azerbaijani bicycles, and added that the company’s plans include expanding the range of products.
He emphasized that the expectations from this year are positive.
ISMA Bikes, a part of the Synergy Group, is engaged in the production of mountain, city, road and other types of bicycles. Prices for the company’s products start from 100 manats for children’s bicycles and can reach 2,000 manats for road bicycles. The plant operates in Ismayilli District of Azerbaijan. The company started selling bicycles in the summer of 2017.
