Kazakhstan to launch 100 investment projects in Turkistan Region

In 2018, 38.7 billion Kazakhstani tenges (KZT) were allocated for the implementation of 169 investment projects from the republican and regional budgets in Kazakhstan’s Turkistan Region, Trend reports referring to the Kazinform news agency.

Of these, 71 objects were commissioned last year, and the remaining 98 are to be commissioned this year, Toktar Usubaliyev, head of the regional construction management, said at a press conference in the regional communications service.

According to him, most of the funds were directed for the construction of educational facilities.

In particular, 17.9 billion KZT were allocated for the construction of 80 facilities. Of these, 39 have already been commissioned, and 41 will be commissioned during the year. “Funds in the amount of 5.8 billion tenges have been allocated for the construction of 11 health facilities.

Two of these facilities were commissioned last year, and nine are planned to be commissioned this year. Three sports facilities have also been built, with 1,262 billion tenges allocated to this end.

Also, two cultural facilities worth 202.7 million tenges have been built.

In addition, 59 million tenges had been allocated from the regional budget for the construction of 2 facilities. These facilities are rolling over to 2019,” he said.

Furthermore, Usubaliyev noted that it was planned within the framework of the “Nurly Zher” program to put 344,700 square meters of housing into operation in 2018; 3,003 apartments with a total area of 387,800 square meters were practically commissioned.

At the same time, over 1.929 billion KZT were allocated for the construction of 32 two-story residential buildings for social workers in the region. To date, construction of 13 of these has been completed. The rest of the housing will be put into operation this year.

Also, JSC “SEC Turkestan” is currently building 6 residential buildings for 336 apartments, with a total area of ​​26,100 square meters. According to the plan, construction work should be completed in the summer of this year. All apartments are sold within the framework of the "7-20-25" state program.
