Iran is ready to cooperate with Turkey if the country participates in restoring maritime safety in the Gulf of Aden, deputy chief coordinator for the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army, rear admiral Habibollah Sayyari said, Trend reports via IRNA.
He noted that all countries merchant ships and oil tankers of which pass the Gulf of Aden are trying to ensure security there.
He added that Iran is also participating in restoring maritime safety in the Gulf of Aden.
All countries will suffer if terrorism isn’t prevented in the region, he said, commenting on Iran-Turkey cooperation in the fight against regional terrorism.
