The Turkmen Foreign Ministry hosted a meeting with Ambassador of Spain (with residence in Moscow) Fernando Valderrama Pareja, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry March 13.
The parties discussed the possibilities of business cooperation.
The ambassador said that he is accompanied by representatives of a number of Spanish companies, which express hope for the revitalization of activities in Turkmenistan, the report said.
Fernando Valderrama Pareja was also received in the Turkmen parliament.
During the meeting, the spheres of transport, water use and energy, tourism, as well as scientific and educational activities were identified as priority areas of cooperation.
A Turkmen delegation has been recently on a working visit to Madrid, Spain, to study business partnership prospects.
As part of the visit, meetings with secretary general for agriculture and food industry of Spain, heads of the companies TYPSA, Cobra and Amiantit took place.
The partnership in agriculture and industry was discussed.
