An enterprise set to produce 1,200 tons of vegetables annually has been commissioned in the city of Mary located in the south of Turkmenistan, Trend reports referring to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).
When the facility reaches its full capacity, it will be possible to arrange deliveries to foreign countries as part of state programs on import substitution and increasing the volume of exports of products manufactured in Turkmenistan.
High-yielding varieties of tomatoes are cultivated in a 6-hectare greenhouse built by local companies Nahal and Kerwen gurluşyk.
Automated technology for maintaining temperature, humidity and control of the enrichment of the soil with nutrients is used here.
It is planned to yield about 10-12 kilograms of tomatoes from each bush during the harvest.
