Exports of Iran's Yazd province exceed 2 million tons

In the last Iranian year (March 21, 2018 - March 20, 2019), Iran's Yazd province exported 2.13 million tons of goods for $746 million, chairman of Yazd Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Reza Alamdari Yazdi said, Trend reports referring to the organization's website.

During the reported period, main export goods of the province included tiles and ceramics (6.36 percent of the total exports), steel products (9.15 percent), cellophane and related products ( 7.8 percent), various pipes and profiles (3.6 percent), various glass containers (7.5 percent), hydrocarbons (3.4 percent), various threads (9.2 percent), pistachio (7.2 percent), moquettes (7.1 percent), Yazdi said.

Main export destinations of the province were Iraq (8.38 percent of total exports), Pakistan (8.23 percent), Afghanistan (6.15 percent), Turkey (8.6 percent), Belgium (5.1 percent), Georgia (5.1 percent), the Netherlands (4.1 percent), South Korea (3.1 percent), the UAE (1.1 percent) and Austria (1.1 percent), he added.

In the last Iranian year, Yazd imported 59,000 tons of goods for $179 million, he noted.

He further added that main import goods were equipment and their spare parts, chemicals, polymers, cars and their spare parts, electrical and electronic products, seeds and agricultural medicines.
