Uzbekistan doubles production of cars

In January-April 2019, Uzbekistan produced more than 79,610 cars, which is 49.6 percent higher compared to the same period in 2018, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In the reporting period, the production of trucks increased twice up to 1,719 units.

In January-April 2019, Uzbekistan produced 593 buses, which is 4.1 times more compared to the same period in 2018. The production of automobile engines in Uzbekistan amounted to 63.760, with the growth by 56.4 percent.

In the reporting period, the volume of production of tractors amounted to 164 units, which is 79.7 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.

At the same time, In January-April 2019, Uzbekistan reduced gasoline production by 18.5 percent to 308,700 tons. The volume of diesel fuel production amounted to 341,800 tons, which is 11.9 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.

Furthermore, Uzbekistan reduced oil production by 7.4 percent to 231,200 tons.

In January-April 2019, natural gas production amounted to about 20.81 billion cubic meters, which is 4.4 percent more compared to the same period of 2018. In this period, Uzbekistan produced over 713,000 tons of gas condensate, which is 1.4 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.

Regarding electricity, Uzbekistan increased its generation by 5.4 percent in January-April 2019 compared to the same period of 2018.

In the reporting period, the country's enterprises generated about 22.05 billion kW / h of electricity. Uzbekistan produced 11.7 million Gigacalories of heat in the reporting period, which is 3.4 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.
