Iran's Mahan Air receives nearly $100M from Central Bank

The Central Bank of Iran has issued 4.07 trillion rials (app. $96 million by official exchange rate) worth of foreign currency to Iran's Mahan Air airline company over the past year until April 1, 2019, Trend reports referring to Tasnim News Agency.

According to the Central Bank, Mahan Air purchased currency at official rates in 8 stages last year.

Last year, the Central Bank of Iran also issued 6.99 million euros (in the official exchange rate) to Zagros Airlines.

The price of $1 equals to 42,000 rials in Iran’s official exchange rate, while the price of 1 euro equals 46,900 rials. The official exchange rate is used for the import of some essential products.
