In the near future, the Central Bank of Iran will open a profile for all Iranian citizens for using foreign currency, said Amir Hossein Shokouhi, head of the foreign exchange management department of the Central Bank of Iran, Trend reports referring to Mehr News Agency.
According to Shokouhi, foreign currency profiles have been so far opened for every legal entity and individual requiring a profile for various purposes, including medical ones.
In recent months, the Central Bank of Iran has been intending to control purchases and sales involving foreign currency, along with the foreign currency spent, and has been setting different regulations to that end.
There are currently 4 exchange rates used in Iran.
