Uzbekistan Airways launches new flights from London and Frankfurt to Kabul in transit through Tashkent, Trend reports with reference to the State Committee on Tourism of Uzbekistan.
London-Tashkent-Kabul and Frankfurt-Tashkent-Kabul flights will be operated on a regular basis on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The agreements were concluded as a result of negotiations with the Afghan airline Kam Air.
Negotiations on the opening of direct flights between Tashkent and Kabul have been going on for the past five years.
Afghan airline Kam Air was founded in 2003. It is located at Kabul Hamid Karzai International Airport. Its main activity includes transportation of passengers on regular domestic and regional flights as well as charter and freight flights.
Kam Air operates regular flights to Delhi, Mashhad, Tehran, Dushanbe, Istanbul and Jeddah ports.
