Iran discloses volume of goods discharged at Imam Khomeini port

Some 1.625 million tons of goods were discharged at the Imam Khomeini port in Iran’s southern Khuzestan province during the second month (April 21 – May 21) of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2019), which by 35 percent more compared to the same month of last Iranian year, Mohammad Ali Alayi, deputy director of the Iran Port and Maritime Organization, said.

Among the discharged goods are sugar, barley, corn, oil seeds, Alayi added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

He added that among the discharged goods are also mining materials which will be supplied to the plants in the country.

Imam Khomeini port is considered to be Iran's biggest port after Shahid Rajaee port in Iran's Hormozgan province.
