The waste recycling factory in Kazakhstan will move on to the second stage of the project on manufacturing textile fiber from plastic bottles in July, 2019, Trend reports citing LS news agency.

The first stage was the launch of the polyethylene terephthalate waste recycling factory in summer of 2018, in Kazakhstan’s Turkestan region. The stage of the project, which also covered the washing, drying and fragmentation of the plastic waste was finished in October 2018.

The second stage consists of organizing the staple fiber manufacturing. It is estimated that the manufacturing plant will reach its total capacity (50,000 tons of manufactured product) in 2020.

The manufactured goods are to be exported to countries of CIS. Some 250 people were employed during the project’s realization.

Some $16 million worth of investment was allocated for the project’s realization. The investors are Green Technology Industries (Kazakhstan) and Hong Kong General Industry And Commerce (China).
