Compared to April 2018 In April of the current year the number of registered major companies of Kazakhstan increased by 3.9 percent, whereas the number of operating major companies increased by 4.2 percent, Trend reports referring to ranking.kz
Thus, in April 2019 the number of registered and operating major companies equaled to 2,462 and 2,379 units respectively.
“The largest increase of operating companies is observed in Atyrau region. Here, this number increased by 17.6 percent and amounted to 120 ventures. It is followed by Mangystau region (+12.8 percent, 97 companies) and Nur-Sultan city (+7.6 percent, 299 companies),” the statement said.
“However, the largest decrease of this number is observed in Pavlodar region, where the volume of operating companies decreased by 7.2 percent and equaled to 90 units,” the report said.
In turn, the largest number of operating companies is observed in Almaty city (537 units, +5.7 percent), Nur-Sultan city (299 units, +7.6 percent) and Karaganda region (167 units, -3.5 percent).
In comparison, the least amount of operating major companies is in North Kazakhstan region. Here the number of companies equals to 59 units which is equivalent to the indicator of April 2018.
Furthermore, the largest increase (+22.9 percent) of companies number is observed in art, entertainment and the recreational sectors. This number equals 43 companies.
However, the largest decrease (-7.1 percent) of the volume is observed in agriculture, forestry and fisheries sector. Here, this number equals 58 companies.
