Uzbek Ministry of Agriculture has signed trade contracts for the supply of fresh fruits and melons to Belarus, Trend reports with reference to the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan.
The agreement was signed during the first meeting of the working group on agriculture and food industry between the Ministries of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and Belarus, which took place on June 18.
Topical issues of cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan in the field of agriculture were discussed during the meeting.
The Belarusian side expressed interest in developing cooperation in the field of agriculture (agro-industrial complex).
In turn, the Uzbek side is interested in introducing Belarusian resource-saving technologies in the field of plant growing, seed production and feed production, in the implementation of joint projects on designing, building and equipping high-tech equipment of dairy complexes and on organizing embryonic laboratories for the reproduction of breeding dairy herds.
An agreement was reached on enhancing cooperation in the implementation of promising joint projects in the framework of the bilateral working group on agriculture.
