The General Motors Uzbekistan Company has certified another Ravon model for Russia - the R3 sedan, Trend reports referring to Russian media.

GM Uzbekistan has previously certified R2 hatchback.

The vehicle type approval (VTA) endorsement for this Uzbek model was valid until June 29, but the automaker decided to extend this important document well in advance. Now its validity is extended to June 2022 on the condition that by the designated date the model will still be represented in Russia with the same characteristics.

There are no fundamental changes to the new VTA. The sedan, as before, drives a 1.5-liter DOHC (dual overhead camshaft) gasoline engine with a power of 106 hp, capable of consuming AI-92 gasoline. Either a five-speed "mechanics" or a six-speed "automatic" is offered as a gearbox to it.

The manufacturer is "GM Uzbekistan" plant in the Uzbek city of Asaka.

The Ravon brand unofficially left the Russian market last year, when deliveries stopped in the spring, and by the fall the dealer stocks were sold out. The main reason for such a long return of the brand is the difficulty of the pricing process.
