Livestock and agricultural products of Iran’s Golestan province were exported to seven Asian countries during first three months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), said Gholamreza Mehrabi, General Director of the Golestan province Veterinary Department, Trend reports via IRNA.
He said that the province’s products are exported to Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Lebanon and Vietnam.
Mehrabi added that 828 tons of chicken legs, 750 tons of food for fish, 199 tons of chicken eggs, 32 tons of shrimp and other items were exported during the reporting period.
“In turn, 323 tons of barley, 3,000 head of cattle and 56 head of cows were imported from Kazakhstan to the province during this period,,” he said.
The Golestan province of Iran, located on the shore of the Caspian Sea, has a border with Mazandaran and North Khorasan provinces in Iran and with Turkmenistan. The population of this province comprises more than 1.86 million people.
