Chairman of Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) Alexander Dadayev met with Head of representative office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the country Engin Goksu, Trend reports with reference to UIET.
The interlocutors spoke in favor of strengthening the business partnership.
An exchange of views took place on the prospects for cooperation between UIET and the EBRD in the framework of projects implemented by local entrepreneurs and aimed at the development of the country's natural resources, creation of large industrial production and agricultural complexes, development of the tourism industry and in the sphere of digitalization.
In 2018, the EBRD allocated more than 250 million euros for 65 investment projects in various sectors throughout Turkmenistan, and supported more than 200 enterprises in the framework of consulting projects.
EBRD established in 1991 and uses investment instruments to develop market economy and democracy in 30 countries from Central Europe to Central Asia.
